CAD Conversion (Digitization)
We convert your paper, blueprints, scans, microfilm based legacy drawings (Engineering, Architectural, Construction drawings, Maps, etc.) to editable CAD format files / Vector Data.

At Digitise IT, our conversion process involves either tracing or redrawing by our CAD draftsmen, to offer an accurate to scale drawing rather than using auto-vectorization tools.

The drawings are standardized to overcome individual drafting styles on paper. The entities in each paper drawing are identified and extracted to create standard layers / levels and other specifications of text styles, heights, dimensions styles, symbols etc.

The entities from the drawings can also be separated into various drawings in order to segregate the structural entities from the mechanical entities. The structural drawings can then be externally referenced into other drawings to minimize the editing and updating efforts at a later stage.

CAD Drafting

Digitise IT has specialized team of draftsmen who reproduce sketches received from client into to scale CAD files. Digitise IT also specializes in creating Floor Plans from Sketches and has the know how to carry out the drafting from design and presentation stage to the finalization stage.

  • Design stage - basic drawings are created from sketches or line drawings made by hand.
  • Presentation stage - presentation drawings are created from sketches or design stage drawings.
  • Construction/working drawings - detail in terms of dimensions, finishes and specifications as detailed by the client.
  • As-Built drawings - are created from construction drawings.

Drawing Finalization
As any constuction project flows from the design stage to the actual construction at site, a lot of changes and updates are marked on the design stage or construction stage drawings, by the personnel at the site.
A colour code is normally followed to indicate additions, deletions comments and changes.

Digitise IT updates the construction stage drawings to ceate a complete and Final set of "as built" drawings for the client.

The changes made on one paper drawing affects the other drawings; hence, creation of the FINAL set of drawings involves relating the changes marked on a drawing to all the plans, sections, elevations, details and views in all other drawings.
